It had been in the air for some time among those in the know, a new Epson Colorworks printer. Nevertheless, Epson kept its lips together for a long time. But now, on January 18, 2022, a press release will get the word out, there will be a new Epson Colorworks printer.
This new addition to the Epson ColorWorks range is the Epson CW-C4000. Although it looks very similar to the Epson TM-C3500 on the outside, the printer itself is significantly different and does not replace an existing model.
Amsterdam, January 18, 2022 – Epson announces two new ColorWorks C4000e on-demand color label printers. The new models provide a flexible, fast and cost-effective solution for in-house label production for businesses of all shapes and sizes, completing Epson’s range of color label printers.
Thanks to its compact footprint, the ColorWorks C4000e series is well suited for desktop installations in smaller businesses with limited space. A great solution for a range of businesses, from the foodand beverage industry to chemicaland pharmaceuticalmanufacturers and ticketing applications. The printers produce high-quality labels in-house and on demand, in small to medium volumes.
The series offers models that print in matte or glossy blacks, allowing users to produce crisp, sharp black text and rich graphics on whatever media they use. The matte black ink model produces deeper blacks on matte media and a sharper image on plain media. The glossy black ink model produces high-quality prints on a wider range of substrates, with best results from synthetic to glossy media. Both models use the same cyan, magenta, and yellow inks.
Designed based on Epson’s award-winning Precision Core technology, the Epson C4000e Series prints high-resolution, high-quality labels. Combined with the color matching functions (ICC profile and spot color matching tool), this produces impressive results. The individual cartridges of pigmented ink provide fast-drying, highly detailed, water-resistant labels that will not smudge or fade.
The C4000e Series features a range of easy-to-use features and enhanced connectivity, giving you greater flexibility in printing. The iOSand Android SDKs (provided by Epson) simplify integration and connectivity. It allows you to easily and intuitively print from tablets and take advantage of integration tools that provide a one-stop shop for on-demand variable data. Drivers are available for ESC Label, Linux and Mac.
There is also an (optional) Wi-Fi dongle available, which allows you to print anywhere, anytime. Remote configuration, maintenance and monitoring are possible via a simple web interface. You can manage your entire printer fleet with this.
The printer features a large 2.7-inch LCD screen for ease of use, plus an automatic paper cutter that can be easily replacedby the user, so there’s no need to call a technician.
For added peace of mind, Epson will cover everything (including the printhead), as long as the printer is under warranty/CoverPlus and meets the criteria in Epson’s fair use policy.
“The addition of the C4000e is an important step forward,” said Jacob Kallergis, Manager of Product Management at Epson Europe. “The new series addresses the market’s need for a desktop installation that can easily and reliably print high-quality labels. Epson now offers an on-demand label printing solution for businesses of all sizes.”
The ColorWorks CW-C4000e (Bk) and CW-C4000e (Mk) will be available in Spring 2022.
