An independent study into the TCO of the 3 most used inkjet techniques for inkjet label printers.
This was done by Keypoint intellegence, doing research in the graphic market for entrepreneurs to make good decisions.

In this research they investigate the total costs of having a high-speed (industrial) inkjet label printer.
They have taken the 3 most used inkjet technologies that represent almost the entire market.

The inkjet label printers:

Epson: TM-C7500G

With the new printheads, Epson has decided not to make them available to other parties.
The <strong>" Epson PrecisionCore TFP" </strong>are a self-maintaining system and last as long as the rest of the printer.
That is why Epson is also able to give a 500 km or 2 year warranty on the complete system, including the print heads.
Unlike the competition where they are on the consumable list or you are expected to accept broken nozzles.
The closed and robust housing also allows you to place it in more spaces than the competition. (Note that extremely dusty and dirty areas are not good for any printer)

Quick Label Systems: Kiaro! D

An inkjet printer that also uses pigment ink for sustainable printing.
This printer uses the " Canon Bubble Jet" technology and prints 150 mm per second. (half as fast as the TM-C7500G)
You can also find this technology in Swift Color printers, for example.

Trojan Label: TrojanOne

Printer based on " Memjet" technology.
As far as our knowledge goes from the Memjet printers, Trojan stands for good and industrial construction quality.
Only the Memjet print heads and the often open housings ensure that they cannot be used in all rooms.
You can find this technology at many different inkjet label printer brands.

inkjet label printer with Memjet technology:

  • VIP Color
  • Afinia label
  • Colordyne
  • Astro
  • Formax
  • Neopost
  • New Solution NS
  • Printing inovation ICUBE

Conclusie (spoiler allert)

We do not want to ruin the document for you, but as we had already expected & hoped, Epson will also win over industrial printers.
